America in judgement.
The phrase "America in judgement" is often used in a religious or prophetic context to suggest the United States is facing divine punishment due to perceived moral failings, though interpretations vary widely. This can refer to specific events interpreted as signs of judgment, such as political polarization, societal changes, or national crises, as well as broader themes of idolatry, sin, and a decline in national character.
Many sources, including certain religious leaders, authors, and groups, argue that America is currently under or is heading toward divine judgment and that repentance is necessary to avert disaster.
Divine punishment for sin: Some interpretations, such as those from Christian leaders and cbn.com, believe that America is under God's judgment due to widespread moral issues like the perversion of children, idolatry, and other social ills.
Signs of judgment: Specific events, like the 2017 solar eclipse across the U.S. or the ongoing border crisis, are cited by some as signs of impending disaster.
Biblical warnings: Certain groups connect current events to biblical prophecies about the end times and the fate of nations, sometimes identifying the U.S. with symbolic figures in scripture.
Call to action: Many of these perspectives include a call for national repentance and a return to a religious or moral foundation, sometimes suggesting that this is the only way to avoid the predicted consequences.
Political and social interpretations :
National decline: The phrase is also used to describe a sense of national decline and disunity, with references to high crime rates, divorce rates, and political polarization.
Failure of leadership: Some arguments focus on a perceived failure of leadership and the consequences of certain policies, such as those related to immigration, viewing them as signs of a nation turning away from its principles.
The "goodness" of America: The idea that America's greatness is tied to its goodness, as observed by Alexis de Tocqueville, is central to some arguments, suggesting that a loss of goodness is leading to a loss of greatness and potentially to judgment.
Other perspectives:
Nation of Islam: The Nation of Islam has its own position, emphasizing "Do for self" and asserting that America is under judgment regardless of who is in office.
Historical context: Some thinkers and religious figures have been warning about judgment for a long time, and the modern discussions can be seen as an evolution of these long-standing concerns.
God is asking for repentance from America before the door of Grace is closed and we have to take heed to what God is stating.
This is a clear reference to the activities of the lamb-horned beast, which are described in Revelation 13:11–18. In this post we have identified the lamb-horned beast as the United States of America.
So the lamb-horned beast and the false prophet are indeed the same power.
There are no specific references to the United States in Bible prophecy. However, there are biblical statements about what the nations in general will be doing during the tribulation period.
Passages like Haggai 2:6-7, Isaiah 66:18-20, and Zechariah 12:2-3 speak of all the nations involved in end-time events.
The judgment of the nations, a.k.a. the parable of the sheep and the goats, is a parable or revelation (if you take issue with calling it a parable) given by Jesus in Matthew 25. In it, he teaches about the judgment that will take place when he returns at the end of the age.
Will America be in the Battle of Armageddon?
No, America is not mentioned in Revelation, and for that matter, it is not even mentioned at all in the entire Bible. In fact, most places on earth are not mentioned in the Bible. There is just one nation that the Bible gives a unique distinction, and that is Israel.
There is just one nation that the Bible gives a unique distinction, and that is Israel.
The entire Bible revolves around Israel. This is the nation God chose from among many to be His people. He gave them a law, prophets, priests, and appointed their royal line.
Their remarkable history persists to this day as they have (in relatively recent times) been regathered in their ancient Biblical homeland, as their prophets said they would be.
The Bible does mention a few other nations that interacted with Israel, but Israel is the primary focus.
Many Gentile Christians in the U.S. seem to have an “America-centric” view which makes them assume that America must be something special in a Biblical sense, but it isn’t. It’s just one of the “nations”.
Christians should not draw any conclusions from the absence of “America” in Revelation.
It means only that the United States of America, like most countries, doesn’t have a specific role that requires identification.
Perhaps they will be among the nations represented by the ten horns (Rev 17:12–14), but even that is speculation.
In fact, there is indication that the US is referred to although most scholars do not see it. Scripture is unique in that it has a near view and far view of history.
In the time of Daniel, 6th century BC, he wrote about 4 great beasts coming out of the sea.
"The first (beast) was like a lion and had eagles' wings. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it." Daniel 7:4
Beasts represent kingdoms, the sea is the world. The first beast was the Lion with wings of an eagle.
At the time of Daniel's writing, Babylon's symbol was the lion, which was the symbol of Ishtar, the goddess of war and fertility. There were about 120 lions decorating the walls along the side of the 'Processional Way' in Babylon 604-562 BC.
For Daniel this was the near view, the world power at the time of Daniel's writing.
Advance to current times, the far view. Which nation has as their symbol, the lion? Great Britain.
Which nation has as their symbol, the eagle? Which nation was plucked off of the lion?
This is where the US is implied since our symbol is the eagle and we were separated from Great Britain.
The verse goes on to say that the wings which were plucked were lifted up from the earth and made to stand upon the feet as a man. Which nation also has a well known symbol of a man? US -Symbol - Uncle Sam.
Now read Revelation 12:14 which says, to the woman (Israel) were given two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness and be nourished.
Look at the how many times the US has supported Israel in the face of opposition from the rest of the world.
Nations that were unknown by Daniel at the time of the writing were known by God.
How could anyone but an all knowing God allude to current nations such as the leopard (symbol of Germany), the bear (symbol of Russia), the Lion (Great Britain) the eagle (USA) and a fowl (rooster, symbol of France).
Because Babylon was represented by a lion in the 6 BC and Great Britain’s symbol is the lion in the 21st century AD, it doesn’t mean that Great Britain is the new Babylon nor does it mean that the US is Babylon.
In the near and far view, it merely indicates that there were 4 sets of nations with the same national symbols who amazingly all fit the description, millennia apart, of which the current nations most likely play into the end times.
