"Evolution vs. God" Intelligent Design Question: "What is the Intelligent Design Theory?" The Intelligent Design Theory says that intelligent causes are necessary to explain the complex, information-rich structures of biology and that these causes are empirically detectable. Certain biological features defy the standard Darwinian random-chance explanation, because they appear to have been designed. Since design logically necessitates an intelligent designer, the appearance of design is cited as evidence for a designer. There are three primary arguments in the Intelligent Design Theory: 1) irreducible complexity, 2) specified complexity, and 3) the anthropic principle. One of the arguments for Intelligent Design, irreducible complexity, is defined as “a single system which is composed of several well-matched interacting parts that contribute to the basic function, wherein the removal of any one of the parts causes the system to effectively...

"Evolution vs. God" "How do beliefs about creation impact the rest of theology?" The creation/evolution debate has been raging for years. To many, it seems like two opponents yelling at each other with no one really listening. The vitriol has increased to the point where each side reflexively dismisses the other—evolutionists dismiss creationists as completely ignoring science, and creationists accuse evolutionists of engaging in all sorts of Machiavellian conspiracies to silence their side. This is not to dismiss the arguments of either side as being hyperbolic but simply to point out that there is precious little honest dialogue going on in this verbal war. Because of the difficulty of sorting out the truth, many Christians relegate the creation/evolution debate to the status of a secondary issue that does not relate to how one becomes right with God through the gospel of Jesus Christ. For the most part, this line of thinking is correct. ...

"Evolution vs. God" "What does the Bible say about creation vs. evolution?" It is not the purpose of this answer to present a scientific argument in the creation vs. evolution debate. The purpose of this post is to explain why, according to the Bible, the creation vs. evolution debate even exists in its present form. Romans 1:25 declares, “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.” A key factor in the state of the creation vs. evolution debate is that the majority of scientists who believe in evolution are also atheists or agnostics. There are some who hold a form of theistic evolution. Others take a deistic view of God, believing He exists but is not involved in the world, and everything proceeds along an uninterrupted, natural course. Many genuinely and honestly look at the data and arrive at the conclusion that evolution better fits the data. However, the ...

Demonic Dream Attacks

Demonic Dream Attacks Hello Guys. One of the enemy’s favorite ways to harass people is to manipulate their dreams. They do this in a few different ways. Manipulating events in the dream is one way, sleep paralysis is another. A brother in Christ told me that he handles dream attacks by reminding the trespasser that he belongs to Jesus and rebuking it. This does work but as a Christian you need not be so gentle about it though. Take authority over the demon in Jesus name and command it to leave, you need not remind that thing of anything. Believers rule with Christ right now. As a Christian you are the one in charge not that thing. Another thing that works in dream situations like this is just to resist. Struggle to move, focus and exert yourself, do not accept failure, visualize yourself moving as you wish to do. You will find yourself waking in your bed with the dream gone. I have done this and succeeded. I have done some studying on dream attacks and have experienc...

Demonic dreams What does the Bible say about visions and dreams?. The Bible teaches that, in ancient times, God relayed His messages through the power of the Holy Spirit, to His chosen servants by visions and dreams. These messages were also given to the apostles and prophets (Amos 3:7, Eph. 3:5). We need to make a distinction between visions that come from God and those that come from Satan and his demons. In Matthew 17:1-9, Jesus gave Peter, James and John a vision of the kingdom of God coming to the earth—this is a case of God using a vision. In I Samuel 28:3-20, a “familiar spirit” was “brought up,” disguised as the deceased prophet Samuel, to inform Saul of his impending doom—this is a case of Satan using a vision. There are many dreams, visions or premonitions that people experience. Their sources are not as easily determined by the untrained. Therefore, we must think twice before assuming they are from God, even if they show supernatural evidenc...

Don't Love Money! "Why is the love of money the root of all kinds of evil?"

Image
Don't Love Money! "Why is the love of money the root of all kinds of evil?" The apostle Paul, in his first letter to his young disciple, Timothy, had this to say: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs” (1 Timothy 6:10). Now this verse is often misquoted as saying, “Money is the root of all evil.” Notice how “money” is substituted for “love of money” and “the root of all evil” is substituted for “a root of all kinds of evil.” These changes, while subtle, have an enormous impact on the meaning of the verse. The misquoted version (“money is the root of all evil”) makes money and wealth the source (or root) of all evil in the world. This is clearly false. The Bible makes it quite clear that sin is the root of all evil in the world (Matthew 15:19; Romans 5:12; James 1:15). However, when we reflect upon the correct citation of this verse,...

Question?

Question? Which day is the Christian Sabbath? Sunday? Or is it Saturday? Did Jesus authorize the change of the Sabbath from the seventh day of the week to the first day? Did His disciples do it? When did it happen? Exodus 20:8-11 "Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy..." "Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work – you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it" (NRSV). Question? I would like to know if this pertains to us today to keep this seventh day holy. Metaphysically, this passage is concerned with the seventh day of each week and with re...
