David danced before the lord. In the Bible, David danced before the Lord with all his might. He was clad in a linen ephod, and this event occurred when the ark of the Lord was brought into the city of David. However, Michal, Saul's daughter, despised him for his dancing. David’s wife Michal was horrified at her husband’s public dance, but not because he was naked " almost" Scripture says she “watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart” (2 Samuel 6:16). She was embarrassed at his lack of decorum and felt it was beneath his dignity as king. It shouldn’t be surprising that preachers tend to sensationalize certain Bible verses. Death. 2 Samuel 12:18 The death of David's son is described in the Bible, specifically in 2 Samuel 12:18. On the seventh day, the child died, and David's servants were afraid to tell him. The child's death was a consequence of David's sin. David lost other children as well: Bathsheba's first son, Amnon, and Absalom. 2 Samuel 12:18-19. It is, perhaps, an issue that has garnered more than its fair share of attention over the past few decades. The faithfulness of a daughter of God is not ultimately measured by what clothing she wears but by her walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). The topic of women wearing pants has sparked considerable debate within Christian communities. While the Bible does directly address the issue of women wearing pants, several passages provide insight into the principles of modesty, gender roles, and appropriate attire. Deuteronomy 22:5 says: "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all w...
